European specialty coffee chain Coffee Island has officially entered Hyderabad with the launch of its second outlet in India, marking a significant step in its South India expansion strategy.

“From a European favourite to a beloved name across continents, Coffee Island marks another bold milestone,” read the brand’s official announcement on LinkedIn, celebrating its foray into the Hyderabad market.

The Greece-based coffee company made its Indian debut in January 2025 through a strategic partnership with Vita Nova, opening its first outlet at HQ27 in Gurugram. Known for its in-house roasting process and a curated selection of Global Single Estate Beans, Global Blends, and Home Blends, Coffee Island has brought its European coffee culture to Indian consumers with an emphasis on quality and experience.

The new Hyderabad outlet is uniquely located within the premises of a leading technology company, aiming to cater to a discerning, coffee-loving corporate audience. “We’re now officially open in Hyderabad — and not just anywhere,” the brand noted in its post, adding that the move follows a “phenomenal debut” in Gurugram.

Coffee Island has ambitious growth plans for the region, aiming to open 20 outlets across India by March 2026, with a longer-term vision of reaching 250 locations by 2029. The expansion will primarily focus on major urban centers, beginning with Delhi NCR, followed by Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

“This expansion is more than just a new store. It’s a testament to the love of our community, the hard work of our teams, and the power of a good cup of coffee to connect people across cultures,” the company stated.

Beyond India, Coffee Island and Vita Nova are also exploring regional expansion into Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and the Maldives, reinforcing the brand’s vision to make premium coffee experiences accessible across South Asia and the Indian Ocean region.
