Burger Singh Bets Big on Non-Metro India with Major Expansion Drive
New Delhi, India – Homegrown quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand Burger Singh has announced a significant expansion plan, targeting India’s Tier II and Tier III cities with over 200 new outlets in the pipeline. With more than 175 stores already operational—103 of which are in non-metro areas—the brand is tapping into the rising demand for organized dining experiences beyond the metros.
This move comes as India witnesses a shift in consumption trends, with over half of the country’s middle-class growth now originating from non-metro regions. While global QSR brands have traditionally concentrated on metro cities, Burger Singh’s early foray into smaller markets has paid off handsomely. Today, nearly 70 percent of its revenue stems from these regions, supported by a high-return, cost-efficient business model.
The company’s strategic growth has not gone unnoticed. Burger Singh was recently featured in Jio Hotstar’s Brands of Tomorrow, a docu-series profiling high-impact businesses that are shaping India’s future.
As part of its growth push, the brand is offering a limited-time franchise opportunity priced at ₹29 lakh, available until March 31. This initiative is designed to make QSR entrepreneurship more accessible to aspiring business owners in smaller towns.
Key Highlights of Burger Singh’s Expansion Strategy:
- Affordable Franchise Entry: ₹29 lakh all-inclusive cost tailored for non-metro entrepreneurs
- Cost-Optimized Operations: Efficient store models with reduced overheads
- Demand-Driven Growth: Focus on underserved, high-potential regions
- Centralized Supply Chain: Streamlined procurement and logistics
- Tech-Enabled Inventory Management: Data-backed forecasting for waste reduction
- Localized Menu Offerings: Indianized flavors with global QSR appeal
Kabir Jeet Singh, Founder & CEO of Burger Singh, commented on the announcement:
“We recognized the untapped potential of emerging cities early on and designed a QSR model that thrives in these markets. By staying ahead of shifting consumption trends, optimizing operations, and making franchising more accessible, we’re not just expanding—we’re leading the non-metro QSR revolution in India.”
With the rapid growth of India’s QSR sector and increasing consumer spending power in smaller cities, Burger Singh’s expansion plan positions it as a frontrunner in capturing the next wave of growth in the hospitality industry.
