Sunil Patil, popularly known as Dolly Chaiwala, the charismatic street-side tea seller from Nagpur who went viral for his flamboyant tea-serving style and a now-iconic moment with Bill Gates, is turning his fame into a nationwide business venture.
Dolly has officially announced the launch of his franchise brand, “Dolly Ki Tapri,” inviting entrepreneurs from across India to become part of what he calls the country’s “first viral street brand.” The announcement, made via his social media platforms, has already sparked an overwhelming response — over 1,600 franchise applications have poured in within just 48 hours.
“It’s India’s first viral street brand, and now… it’s a business opportunity,” Dolly said in his Instagram post. “From carts to flagship cafes, we’re launching nationwide and looking for real people with real passion to carry this dream forward.”
The brand offers three franchise models, making it accessible to a range of aspiring business owners:
- Cart Stall: ₹4.5 lakh – ₹6 lakh
- Store Model: ₹20 lakh – ₹22 lakh
- Flagship Café: ₹39 lakh – ₹43 lakh
Each model reflects Dolly’s ambition to scale “Dolly Ki Tapri” from a local street corner into a structured and iconic Indian tea brand.
From Nagpur Streets to National Spotlight
Dolly Chaiwala’s journey began on the streets of Nagpur, where he sold tea for over 20 years. With no formal education, Dolly’s eye-catching serving style and distinctive fashion gradually drew online attention. His big break came in 2024, when a video of him serving tea to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates went viral, catapulting him into global recognition.
That moment not only brought him fame but also ignited his entrepreneurial vision.
Now, with a pan-India franchise model in place, Dolly is inviting chai lovers and business dreamers alike to join his journey — brewing success one cup at a time.
